Maria models a way of escape for young village women

It’s thrilling to see young women from the villages truly escaping the cycle of poverty!

Here’s a recent update from our Kenya team, helping villages in northern Kenya:

“Many of the youth in the villages drop out of school, especially girls, and don’t graduate to secondary school level due to the fees problem. Girls end up in early marriages, or prostitution in Isiolo town, and unnecessary pregnancy. As a result they become helpless and no hope for future generation.

“We opened an Empowerment Center to transform the life of such poor and hidden among the community. Maria is one of the girls who never graduated to secondary school level due to poverty. So she enrolled in the Center, where she is learning tailoring and dressmaking knowledge which will shape her life for the future.

“Maria is an example to many who are in the same situation with her. By learning tailoring she is doing something she never dreamt of. To her it is an answered prayer which seemed to be impossible.

“Maria says “thank you” to all of you! She is very happy and grateful for considering her and giving her hope.”

And WE say “thank you” for pouring Pangeo and sending help to Maria’s village and others like hers!
